I have been working in the childcare field for 13 years. I have my level 3 certificate in Early Childhood Education and have current First Aid /CPR training, current security clearance and Child welfare check, along with many more workshops and trainings I have taken over the past years.
I have been a director of a fulltime licensed accreditated childcare program for the past 6yrs and previous a full time caregiver at the same centre, due to the closure of the facility of the program I have decided to become a day home provider so I can continue my career and get more experience in a different setting.
I am a mother of 2 loving boys ages 3 and 7 years both whom have taught me a lot about life and all the fun you can have being a mom and to love my job more each day. Our home is a home to the 4 of us and 2 pet cats who love children.
I believe that children learn through their daily play, imagination and creativity.
During each day, I will encourage children to make decisions about where to play and what to play with. They are offered experiences exploring new materials and joining in physical activities. Throughout each day they can also choose to participate in an adult-directed activity such as a story or song.
