I have been working with kids of all ages for 10 years. I worked as a 2 year old Sunday school teacher for 4 years, a grade 1 Sunday school teacher for 2 years. I have worked in a daycare with 14 to 19 month old age group up to the 5 year olds age group. I have cared for anywhere from 1 - 15 kids at a time.
I have a 1 year old and 3 year old and am looking to have 3 kids in my Dayhome. We have a large back year, big open living room and kitchen. There are 2 playgrounds both a block away.
Our days will consist of fun and learning. I hope to spend time each day teaching the kids something new, whether it is working on their ABCs or 123s, writing their names, or learning sign language for the younger ones. I plan to have the kids outside 2 times a day either playing in the back yard or at the play ground. I have a splash pool with 2 slides and a sprinkler for the hot summer days. When it is colder out we will venture out to places like Lets Play or the Science Center, to keep the kids active even when it is too cold for us to be outside. We will go on trips to the zoo and once every so often a movie to escape the extreme cold or hot we get here in our fine city.
