Mother Earth Home Childcare encompasses the key values that I try to instill in my family; living a healthy, holistic, active and creative lifestyle. I will be providing homemade, (mostly) organic, whole, predominantly plant-based foods with a rotating menu and an emphasis on seasonal foods. I can accommodate many food sensitivities/allergies (wheat, soy, dairy, eggs) with the exception of nuts. I use eco-friendly, natural cleaning products in my home to ensure optimal cleanliness, safety, health of children and the earth. The program will incorporate a balance of age and developmentally appropriate child-centered and teacher-directed activities (i.e. imaginative play, creative, messy sensory & art activities, cooking, building, etc.) and outdoor & active play (backyard and front yard, playground, walks, yoga, movement etc.).
My goal is to create an atmosphere where my home becomes an extension of the family. I want parents feel confident and comfortable having their children in my care and kids to feel inspired to learn, play and have fun. I believe in open communication between caregiver and parents and want to build a relationship where we can easily discuss your child's day, progress and behaviours. My method of behaviour guidance is centered on positive reinforcement, appropriate and clear expectations, routine and mutual respect.
As a mother to a one year old and a Registered Early Childhood Educator, I want to create the best of childcare programs: trusted, professional caregiver knowledgeable in child development, small group, home environment, healthy, nutritious food and effective programming and activities.
