I have over 25 years experience in childcare, and have chosen this as my profession, I have worked every where from a maturnity ward, to playschool and many years as a Nanny and have run my homedaycare for the past 14 years. I have excellent refferences and qualifications from UK in Child Psychology and Maternal and Child Welfare. Offering a warm, nuturing environment, with a large bright mainfloor playroom dedicated entirely to my daycare, where the children can feel totally at home. It is my goal to offer an environment as close to home as possible, where your child can feel safe, loved and totally relaxed.
My goal for the time your child spends with me is to prepare them for school, not in the academic sense although of course we do learn basic lessons, but in the sense of teaching good manners (which I believe to be very important), how to share and be a good friend, and how to be independent. Structure and lessons come soon enough, I believe in building the foundations of character first.
I provide a healthy, home cooked from scratch meal apporx 4 days a week (Friday is fun lunch Friday where we will have Mac n Cheese or hot dogs etc) Two healthy snacks will also be provided.
My husband is a paramedic and is home about 70% of the time.
My daycare is ideally suited to teachers as I do take a weeks Vacation at Christmas and March Break and like to take a fair amount of time in the summer too.

Lots of baby experience, including a 2 week work placement in a maternity ward as part of my two year training. I
28 years experience with all age groups, including raising my 13 year old and 16 year old. UK trained and qualified as Nanny!

General hours are 7.30am to 4,30pm, extended hours are negotiable with at least 48 hours notice and at an hourly rate. Part time position MAY be available. |
