Hello Parents,
My name is Terry. I opened my home daycare business in September of 1990, when my first child was 10 months old. I have 21 years experience, caring for over 40 children. I am First Aid & CPR certified (renewed Oct. 2011) and all adult members of my family have a current Police Records Check. Over the years, I've worked through both Global Childcare & Wee Watch and I'm currently a member of the Childcare Providers Resource Network. I have 3 children of my own. My daughter is now 22 and married. My sons are 20 and 16 years old and they live at home with us.
In my Daycare, your child will have an opportunity to learn and grow through experiencing Monthly Themes for learning, crafts, songs, and stories.
As well as, a variety of activities such as:
Outings to Playgroup
Outdoor Play such as walks, visits to local parks, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, as well as, crafts such as colouring, painting, playdough, stickers etc.
I really enjoy working with babies & young children. Their joy & enthusiasm for life is a delight to me. In my Daycare, I make a point of fostering a spirit of patience and cooperation between the children. In fact, one of the things I enjoy most is helping them learn to express themselves using their ever expanding verbal skills. The best reward of all is being able to see them grow into confident little people who feel secure in knowing that they are respected and valued.
My goal is to provide a loving, safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for my daycare children. As well as, to help working parents feel at ease and secure with the choice they have made.
