WHAT WE PROVIDE:
* Very low teacher to child ratios - this means more individual, quality care for each child and a variety of learning activities
* TWO qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators running the program all day, everyday - you get the support, experience and multifaceted teaching styles of 2 teachers who each of a strong knowledge base in child development and programming
* The comfort of a home child care with the experience and professionalism of a centre
* Emphasis on living a healthy, active lifestyle - homemade, nutritious lunch and snacks prepared centered around mostly organic, whole foods, predominantly plant-based, weekly menus posted. Please note many special dietary requirements can be accommodated i.e. dairy or wheat-free. Lots of gross motor activities, outdoor play, music & movement and kids yoga as well as creative activities like drama, painting, play dough, sand and water play
* A daily routine will be in place to provide consistency which will help children with transitions and learning the flow of the day, but we will also allow for some flexibility to follow spontaneous “teachable moments” that arise
* Daily logs documenting your child’s day and biannual progress reports will be provided for each child - this allows parents to feel apart of their child's day and keeps them updated on their progress
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The foundation of our philosophy stems from the belief that we need to address the needs of the whole child when providing support to the families and children in our care. We believe in the importance of recognizing health & wellness as one of the key factors in raising confident, compassionate, well-balanced individuals. At our home child care, we create a family atmosphere where children can feel comfortable going from home to child care and where parents can feel assured that their children are happy and healthy in our care.
