Conveniently located in Westmount, I am a home daycare provider (ECE), mother of three grown children and one grandchild, with over 30 years of experience. My background includes 14 years as a nursery school teacher, as well as being a former Beaver and Brownie leader. Our facilities include a bright main floor playroom and fenced backyard, with a playground and splash pad nearby. I have a current police check, CPR and First Aid certifications, many references and provide receipts.
I have a non-smoking home and do not have pets. The primary language spoken in my home is English, but I do speak Dutch and teach the children French songs and phrases.
My program follows the school calendar year, providing daycare for the children of teachers. No fees are paid during the summer holidays.
Home daycare should be a safe, comfortable and loving environment for a child to come to. Because this is a family daycare, there is a close knit atmosphere amongst the children. They enjoy individual and group activities within a flexible schedule, based on the specific needs and interests of the children from day to day.
"Play is child's work." This well known saying describes my approach, which integrates subtle opportunities throughout the day. This includes arts and crafts, music, stories and games in both indoor and outdoor settings. My role is to foster an atmosphere where respect, affection, self-confidence, self-discipline and good manners will flourish amongst the children.

I currently have 2 full-time openings for teachers' children or those whose positions follow the holidays and breaks of the school calendar. The openings begin in late August, allowing teachers time to prepare for classes. |
