The current Canada-Wide Early Learning Child Care (CWELCC) refund of 50% has been applied to the rates listed. Rate listed is for full day of care, 5 days per week. Rates available for 1/2 day, B/A school, as well as part-time.
TotLot is a licensed home child care agency. Our licensed providers:
have First Aid/CPR (some homes have more than one adult with this qualification)
and all those in the home 18+, have completed vulnerable sector checks on file, that are updated, regularly
insure all children in their care
provide care in their homes, in various locations throughout Barrhaven
provide a non-smoking premises
homes and qualifications meet or exceed Ministry standards for licensed home child care
provide stimulating, safe, loving, nurturing environments that receive regular quality checks
provide nutritious meals and snacks, and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities
participate in ongoing training, including First Aid/CPR, and childcare-related workshops, as well as one-to-one training
are supervised by professionals who are Registered Early Childhood Educators
As well, these ladies understand and recognize that each child is a unique individual. This recognition and the small ratios enable our providers to tailor their programs to meet and cater to each childs personal needs. Small groups assure greater individual attention, for every child. Parents are able to choose a caregiver who shares their goals, values, ethics, and ideas on child rearing.
At TotLot, staff, caregivers, and parents work as partners to keep the lines of communication open to better meet the continuing and changing needs of your child. TotLot also supplies equipment required for children.
Full- and part-time care opportunities, for children from 6-weeks to 12-years-old, are available in English, with some French and other languages, available. Overnight and weekend care also available, in some areas. TotLot has child care homes throughout Barrhaven, Kanata, Manotick, Stittsville, and Riverside South.
