I am a mother to two young school aged children and I have a B.A. and B.Ed. I am originally from Nova Scotia but have I have been living in Ontario for the last 9 years. When my son was one, I decided to change career paths from teacher in a school setting to a teacher in my own home. I love watching young children find the excitement in learning about the world around them. I provide a small group setting so that every child gets the attention they deserve. I want each child to feel like my house is their home away from home. I have a structured program with activities such as circle time, music and dance, reading, crafts, outdoor play and free play and trips to a family literacy program in my neighbourhood. I am a firm believer in letting kids be kids by using their imaginations and having as much outdoor time as we can (weather permitting). Consistency is extremely important to help our little ones thrive, therefore, I am looking for a family who shares in similar views in regards to caring for children. I am having the time of my life and look forward to many more years sharing my life and home with children.
