ABOUT ME!
My name is Kelly. I'm 44 years old. I am a nursing assistant honors graduate and mom of 3 children. I run a home daycare in the Brampton area of Vodden & Rutherford.
I love kids! I grew up in a very large family and babysat from a young age, so my life has always been around children.
My goal is to provide a safe, happy, healthy and fun place for them while their parents work. A place for them to build good memories and grow with confidence. A place to feel secure.
Safety is my biggest priority because when everything is safe, we can focus on having fun. I focus on catching and acknowledging good behaviour and accomplishments (big or small) they will alway's get lot of social praise and tangible rewards.
AGES:
I accept school age children from ages 4-12
SCHOOLS:
H.F Loughin elementary school (Herkley)
C.w. Sullivan Catholic School (Seaborn Rd)
both are in the Rutherford area between Vodden and Queen St. in Brampton
I walk them to school and pick them up (I live very close to both schools). Unless there is very bad weather ....then in that case I have a van to pick them up, if there is enough legal seating.
RATES:
my rate of pay depends on how LONG the child is in my care and how much MEALS are provided. So these rates are general and can change to each situation.
Full Day's:holiday weeks ( Christmas/March Break)
and Summer= APROX $30 daily
Before and After school with snack's till 5:30 = APROX $20 daily
After school 1 hour or less with snack = APROX $15 daily
After with no snack= APROX $10 daily
MY QUALIFICATIONS:
1)Mom of 3. Babysat children since age of 9.
2)CPR/ First Aid..........2 police checks.......CrisisPrevention
Intervention training
3)Trained in special needs care (autism, auditory and visual
therapy training)
sensory issues, speech and language training, ocupational
therapy training
4)Educated and experienced as a PSW/Nursing Assistant.
I am educated in the career of caregiving and was a nursing
assistant/PSW for many years. I cared for the elderly, the sick
and the disabled. I am still caregiving ...just a younger group
and loving every minute of it.
Part of my education as a PSW is training to care for young
children. I have excellent references if you need to know that
I am trustworthy and take caring for others (no matter the
age) very seriously.
