Hello! Thank you for your interest in my day home. Whether you are changing daycares or starting daycare for the first time, I understand how traumatic it can be for both the parents and children involved. Finding a daycare that meets your child's needs and at the same time finding a provider that you feel you can entrust with your child can be very nerve racking. I feel it is very important for the parents and the provider to have a very open and friendly relationship to best meet the needs of the children.
While the inspiration to start up Rainbow Kids was the arrival of our daughter Cali-Lynn, I have since realised that early childhood development and education is both a calling and a passion of mine. My years of experience working with disabled young adults have instilled in me the patience and compassion that is required to work with young children.
My day home is a family day home. Although I have some preschool projects that I do with the children, I do not treat my dayhome like a preschool. We have a family setting and my focus is to teach the children life skills such as respecting others, sharing, polite manners, following instructions, responsibility, anger control and problem management. I feel these skills are mandatory before children enter a school setting. I have full time and part time spots available. I also provide before and after school care for children in St.Sylvester, Silver Springs school, and W.O Mitchel with drop offs and pick ups.
I pride myself on providing a welcoming, supportive and inspiring environment for them to grow. Thank you again :)
