Welcome to Brooklin Home Child Care! I am a certified PSW and a mother of 2 boys. I have been doing home daycare in my home for the past three years and truly enjoy what I do! I have a well structured daily routine that involves crafts, story time, outdoor play, reading circle, music and dancing and of course free play! I live in the middle of two wonderful parks, one directly across the street from my home and another one down the road with a water park for the summer! I have a large Cedar play center in my back yard as well as smaller Play centers for the smaller children. We are just down the road from the Community Center and enjoy heading down for the Reading Hour and other fun events that are held there! My home is a bungalow and we use a majority of the main floor for our daily activities. There is a toy room filled with fun and educational games, musical instruments, flash cards, books and tons of fun stuff to stimulate our minds! I have a Full Kitchen where we have all our snacks and lunch that are based on the Canadian Food Guide. We enjoy baking a special treat weekly and always bring home samples for the rest of the family!! During the warmer months we enjoy heading down behind the community center and taking a nature walk through the trail and collect leaves and rocks to create different crafts. When the weather is not completely up to par, we have a large room in the basement where we run and play games, or set up our inflatable Fire Station to use up our extra energy! I have suitable sleep areas for those who nap, and quiet activities for those to do while the little ones are sleeping!
We are also having "Get Ready For School" Morning Sessions from 8:30 am to 11:00 am!
As most of our curriculum is completed in the morning, it is nice for some children to come and experience being away from Mom and Dad for a couple of hours before they start School in the fall. It makes the transition easier for some children and us parents!
