Hello,
I am opening up a childcare centre in my home environment on January 3, 2012. I have full time spaces available for Toddler and Preschool aged children. The hours I will be operating are from 7:00am-6:00pm.
Being a mother myself, I know how difficult it is choosing the perfect space for your child to thrive in, here is a snippet about myself, my experiences and what I have to offer. Hopefully it will give you a glimps into who I am and what I do to help make your decision a little bit easier.
I am a mother of an 8 year old Girl. I have been in the childcare industry for 9 years, working in several wonderful childcare centres. Over the past 5 years I had the privilege to have worked in a centre inspired by the Reggio philosophy. We believe that the best way children learn is through their interests and environment using emergent curriculum. I have a very natural way of teaching and have seen many children thrive from this type of philosophy. Teaching is my passion and I want to share all my experiences and teachings in a new setting.
To coincide with my teaching experience, I also am a Registered Early Childhood Educator; I have an updated CPR/First Aid Certificate as well as a police record check. I have been trained in the importance of having a nutritious and well balanced diet; therefore, I will offer a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack daily.
My programming will include bilingual circle time, storytelling, arts and crafts, music and movement, lunch, a rest period, snack as well as indoor and outdoor play. I have 2 safe parks nearby as well as a library and transit for some fun group outings.
I hope I can help make the transition from your home to The Tot Spot as smooth and stress free as possible for you and your child.
