Hello,
I have one space available for a Toddler or Preschool aged child.
Being a mother myself, I know how difficult it is choosing the perfect space for your child to thrive in, here is a snippet about myself, my experiences and what I have to offer. Hopefully it will give you a glimps into who I am and what I do to help make your decision a little bit easier.
I am a mother of a 15 year old Girl. I have been in the childcare industry for over 16 years, working in several wonderful childcare centres. I had the privilege to have worked in a centre inspired by the Reggio philosophy. We believe that the best way children learn is through their interests and environment using emergent curriculum. I have a very natural way of teaching and have seen many children thrive from this type of philosophy. Teaching is my passion and I want to share all my experiences and love of nurturing young minds and souls by providing the best care possible with the comforts of home.
To coincide with my teaching experience, I also am an Early Childhood Educator; I have an updated CPR/First Aid Certificate as well as a police record check. I have been trained in the importance of having a nutritious and well balanced diet; therefore, I will offer a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack daily. I have also received first words training and done multiple workshops on the power of play.
My programming will include circle time, storytelling, arts and crafts, music and movement, lunch, a rest period, snack as well as indoor and outdoor play. French is a part of our learning experiences. I have 5 safe parks nearby as well as a library and transit for some fun group outings.
I hope I can help make the transition from your home to The Tot Spot as smooth and stress free as possible for you and your child.
