Young Ones Early Learning Centre is licensed under Andrew Fleck children's services. Our home is Pet & Smoking free environment and has fully fenced beautiful backyard for outdoor play. Kids have a fun, children safe playroom.
I have University diploma and master degree in Early Childhood Education. I am a Registered ECE(currently member of the College of Early Childhood Educators). I also have valid First Aid, CPR, Police Check, am fully insured, and over 20 yrs Experience in Early Childhood Education including teaching at Kindergartens.
I am a member of CCPRN (Child Care Providers Resource Network) and we are current members of Agricultural museum, Aviation, Science museum. Children play of the entire main floor as well as a big play room in the basement. Baby takes morning naps in a quite room on the second floor. Parks and playgrounds are nearby and conveniently located near Agricultural Museum, Lexington park, Rideau Canal, and Mooney’s Bay, the biggest play ground in Canada. Parking is available in our drive way or on the street.
I believe Early literacy skills are foundation of literacy skills so I always introduce new books to children and read together. I follow Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs and my curriculum approach builds on interests that emerge from our daily lives with the children. We celebrate holidays, birthdays together along with crafts, story time etc. I also provide an informal education program to promote learning through hands on play and discovery. I am also competent in potty training and start potty training when the child is 2 years. Everyone in my care all potty trained before or by 2 and half years old. For preschoolers, we do prewriting practice, letter recognition, writing etc basic skills in order to have successful kindergarten experiences.
I provide Home made Healthy foods based on Canada's Food Guide(plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables), Outdoor/Indoor play, Age appropriate toys and activities, Arts and Crafts, Stories, Dancing, Play Dates (Family and literacy centre at Carleton Height Public School, Boys and girls club), Circle times every day and much more to help developing social emotional concept, cognitive, fine motor, and gross motor skills.
