My name is Mary and I am a child care provider in Orleans, welcome to my information page! Loving children and investing in their lives with joy, patience, kindness, and compassion are important aspects of my childcare philosophy. I consider this job a privilege.

ACTIVITIES and SPACE: I have large indoor and outdoor spaces that are childproofed, clean, and fun.
•I have a fully finished basement that I use as an indoor space for the children to express their creativity. In this space we play with toys (I rotate in new toys to inspire the creativity of the kids), build forts, paint, draw, dance, tell stories, do crafts, and engage in educational activities such as learning colours, shapes, numbers, and ABCs.
•I have a large fenced backyard with no pool and tons of open green grass.
-The backyard has a low-level play structure, a covered sand box, water features in the summer, and a child-sized basketball hoop. I also invest in outdoor toys such as soccer balls, rings for tossing, and lots and lots of bubbles!
•I have a full kitchen and a minimalist living and dining room where the children are able to eat, play, and sleep depending on the needs that day.
•Even with the large spaces available in my home, I enjoy taking the children for walks to the park 5 minutes away through a nice wooded area where they can learn and explore the world outside. We go outside as often as the weather permits.
NUTRITION:
•Nutrition is extremely important to me and I think of food as a worthwhile investment. I believe in buying organic or filtered milk, and almond milk for the daycare and making sure the children have lots of vegetables, fruit, and other healthy snacks. I make sure to provide a warm home-cooked meal at lunch time and depending on drop-off time I offer breakfast. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available. A full menu is available upon request.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
•Bilingual: I am fluent in French and English. French is the first spoken language at the daycare but it is accompanied by English depending on the child or parents’ needs
•I am certified in CPR and first-aid. The daycare is fully insured for five children. I have a completed background check while working with Global Childcare, which I had some training from that still helps me today.
•I have 7 years of experience running my own daycare and two adult children who have taught me a lot about raising little ones.
•I have an open door policy with parents. I know how hard it is to leave your children with someone, so I am quick to respond to calls and texts and want parents to feel free to visit at any time.
•I emphasize compassion, kindness, and respect between the children in my care. It is very important to me the children not only feel safe and loved with me, but also among each other.
•I offer help with development goals such as potty training, walking, talking, socialization etc.
*I have a frenchboldog and there is NO SMOKING in or around the home. And I can open earlier, if a parents required. "15 minutes"
