I am a mature, enthusiastic and creative mother with a 4 year old daughter. I have 4 years experience as a substitute daycare teacher at a licensed day care centre and have an Honours degree in English Literature.
I believe that children deserve a loving and respectful caregiver who knows that each child is unique and will strive to make each child feel special, safe and happy. I offer a nurturing family environment with a focus on fun, learning and adventure. Reading books, singing songs and telling stories are a part of every day at my home.
I provide daily arts and crafts, circle time, outdoor play and free play; all in a structure that is consistent enough for the children to know what to expect but flexible enough to accommodate any special needs of the day.
Nutritious, home cooked meals and snacks are provided, with breakfast for those who need it as well as morning snack, a hot lunch and an afternoon snack. Vegetarian options will be happily provided. We are a candy free home. City of Ottawa subsidized clients are welcome.
