Through the Eyes of a Child is a nurturing home based daycare located in the community of Stittsville (Coyote Crescent) that has 2 spaces available (April 2012 and September 2012) for the care for children 10 months to 4 years.
Hello, my name is Cheryl and I am an experienced, warm, loving mother of two beautiful girls (ages 1 and 4). I have a background in psychology and have taken many courses that focused on the social, cognitive and developmental aspects of child psychology.
I believe that there is no greater responsibility than caring for a child. That is why I offer a safe and healthy home environment in which children are well nourished with kind words, good food, fresh air and imaginative play that is developmentally appropriate to their needs.
Getting out and enjoying the great outdoors is a very important part of our daily routine! Some of the activities that we enjoy include walks around the community, visiting the playgrounds (two within walking distance), exploring nature on little hikes down the nearby trails, and picnic lunches. I also have plenty of yard space (fully-fenced) for the children to run around and play in.
I have a dedicated playroom in which we enjoy daily stories, circle time, songs, music and movement, games, baking, art and crafts and plenty of unstructured free play!
Our setting is cozy and nutritious meals (am snack, lunch, and pm snack) are always home cooked and healthy.

* Hours: 7:15am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
* First Aid/CPR certified
* Police record check supplied
* Member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network (CCPRN)
* Non-smoking home
* Fire alarms located on each floor of the home
* Home schools: Westwind Public School (Please note: I will begin servicing Gaurdian Angels when it becomes full day JK/SK in 2014)
