My name is Ashley. I am a fully qualified Early Childhood Educator and Infant/Toddler Educator. I have 6 years of experience in the field with ages 0-5. I hold a valid Emergency Childcare First Aid Certificate and a criminal record check. I am a member of the provincial and local branches of Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia, as well as the Canadian Child Care Federation, Southern Vancouver Island Family Child Care Association, and the British Columbia Family Child Care Association.
I will create a safe environment of nurturing, fun and learning with a primary focus of “learning through play”. I mean by this, that I will offer a variety of materials, toys and experiences that will encompass all developmental needs of the children in my care, with their own unique set of strengths and abilities taken into consideration. These activities will include, but not be limited to: free play, arts and crafts, music, circle times, story times, large and small motor skills activities, nutrition, and other educational and fun activities. |
