It is my policy to obtain one week's worth of fees when a child registers, and then later apply it to their regular fees. I do this in case parents change their mind at the last minute, at least I am not left high and dry. Anyhow, my question is how to apply this policy to a family that does not have a set schedule and therefore will be paying different amounts of fees each week. For example, a family who is using drop-in services and doesn't know their schedule in advance, may need 2 days one week and 5 days the next week...how much should I obtain for a registration fee?

I do the same. For PT care I charge $100.00 reg fee and apply it to their first week or 2 of care depending on how much care they require.

For someone who is casual or drop in I may lean more towards the 200.00 registration fee. A casual spot is a hard one to grasp how much they will be using.

Hmm - I do not offer that kinds of service so not sure what I would do - if they are sitting in a full time space I would charge them a full time deposit personally - my deposit gets applied to the last weeks of care though.

My contract states that the deposit will be applied to the LAST week of care, even if that happens after years and years.
