Hi ladies,
I have never done an interview for my daycare. I have 2 children in my care now, but knew the parents beforehand. I didn't really have to have an interview with them.
What should I expect?
What kind of questions do parents normally ask?
What should I ask the parents?
I am trying so hard to remember that I am not the only one being interviewed. I am also interviewing them. I want to come across as a confident, knowledgeable provider. At the same time, I don't feel I need to sell myself to this parent. I am running my daycare the way I want to run it, and am not planning on changing it unless I feel things aren't working.
I am nervous because the parent is a teacher. I am not sure if she expect me to teach her 14 month old pre-school type things or if she expects that it will be a home environment. My goal is to have a home environment and teach them the same things their parents should be teaching them. I am not going to turn their children into geniuses though. lol
