I know this is part of my last post, but I thought I would get more responses if I started another thread considering one of my daycare kids just left feeling ill, with a bit of a fever.

As mentioned, my son came down with either croup or a chest infection (two doctors, two different answers) and now one of the kids left with a fever.

I WILL refuse care if he's ill on Monday, however, should I let them not pay. I really need the money but I feel bad making them pay when my child is the one who got them sick.

I know I've asked this question before, but I never seem to get an exact answer.

If your contract says they pay if they are sick then yes. Besides, the child may not even have what you child is sick with.

I understand your feelings as I have been in that position, but if their child got our child sick, would you expect them to pay for you to have a day off to take care of him? I think not, so I think it doesn't matter who got who sick...they have to pay. Kids get sick all the time and spread things around..it isn't your fault!

I agree with Kanga, kids get sick a lot at a young age building up their immune systems. Chances are they caught stuff at daycare is higher but, they could really have caught it anywhere. Don't worry, the daycare kids will return the favor ;)
They should pay you
