I recently registered with Webs.com and started a web site. This week I've started putting up photos, but the last couple days when I try to add more pictures it gives me a message "an unexpected error has occured". I keep getting the same message over and over. As far as I can see on the website, there isn't a way to contact them for help unless you have 'upgraded' and are paying a fee--I am signed up on the free program. Has anyone else had this issue, or do you know how to fix it? I thought maybe there is a maximum number of photos you can upload, but I only have 9 up right now.

edited to add: I played around with it a bit more, it will allow me to put up photos that I've already uploaded into the database, but it won't let me upload new photos. It also won't let me delete any that I have in the database--not sure if it's a space issue?

I use webs.com and love it. You should still be able to ask for help even if you are using the free version. Are you using their newest version, it is all drag and drop? It is much easier to load photos to.

Maybe try going to your control panel and go to manage files under the heading manage website. You can also upload your photos there.

I use webs.com and love it. It does have hiccups from time to time when it comes to uploading your pictures. Just close it and then come back to up load your pictures later in the day. Some times I have to wait for the next day. I've never had a problem with space

My friend just had this problem.

The problem with the 'free' version is you only have so much SPACE .... 10MB I believe ... so if your photos are 'high resolution' like most cameras are these days they likely take up close to 2MB per photo which is what gives them that resolution so you can make big ole prints from them without getting 'pixalated' ... problem is if you only have 10 MB of free space on webs to upload to once you have 5 photos you might be at your 'max' and that is why you are getting an error message?

I would start by checking in your account section how much 'space' you have used for your site ~ there should be a pie or something that says how much free space you have left on your free webs account .... if you are 'full' than check how 'large' your photos are and if they are over 1MB each ~ use a program like Paint or Photoshop to 'shrink' their size to something suitable the web back in the kb sizing ~ they will still look good on the website but they take up less 'space' your website data is allowed in the free version so you can have more photos!
