Children mispronouncing words?

I had never laughed so hard when someone posted about pronouncing truck as *uck. I told people about that post. I giggled for days.

So I took my toddler camping last week. There were a lot of trucks around. However, according to my little one the park was filled with 'BIG *UCKS'.

She alos loved to ride in her papa's truck. She would let me know by telling me that she 'wanted to go *uck.

I've been telling parents this week. just warning them about it. One of my clients laughed and proceeded to instruct my little one to say 'clock' . . . at least they have a sense of humour.

Meanwhile my two year old is dropping the f-bomb on the street any chance she gets.

LOL

Yes I remember that post cause I started it ..... My one dcb was calling them ?ucks and then another dcb that pronounced it properly started copying and the parent was freaking out. It is funny but I tried not to laugh. I too warned my other parents.

Sometimes my little one sits on my lap and gets cute. You know, Stroking my face and giving me kisses. Then every once in a while she honks my breast and goes "HAHAHAHAHA Mommy's BOOBIE"

This one isn't inappropriate but still funny.

Everyone knows the other verses to row row row your boat. So we're singing row, row row your boat gently down the shore. if you see a lion dont forget to roar.

Well my little one loves it when I leave out words so she can fill them in and sing along. so we get to the end and I sing "if you see a lion don't forget to . . . . " My two year old yells out "RUN!" . . . thought I was going to pee my pants.

I was sharing this story with some friends this morning. My 4 year old cutie daycare girl said this:

DCG: My Mommy has a big, big, big, big, big belly.
Me: Is there a baby in there?
DCG: No, just lots of food.

(I'm always checking when they let things like that slip to see if the Mom is keeping a secret)

These stories are real gems...I miss that stuff in my own kids. My youngest boy when around 2.5, had a bit of a speech impediment. As I was buckling his older brother into his car seat, I could hear him in the yard behind me, yelling at the top of his lungs over and over "I HAVE A BIG %ICK! I HAVE A BIG %ICK!!". What the hell??? He was running in circles with a large branch. Cute, cute, CUTE! And sooooo added to the arsenal for his future spouse! He's now 15, 6'3" and I can't believe he was ever that small.

My other son (now 16) used to tell us when out for walks to watch out for 'poo doggies' instead of dog poo. That has stuck and we still use that term to this day.

Now I feel old.....
