I have a 15 m/o and an 11 m/o in my care. They're both usually pretty easygoing but today I've had the 2 of them crying and hanging off my pant legs wanting to be picked up. As soon as 1 starts, the other joins in. Any ideas how to handle this. I've tried sitting down and giving both of them a cuddle but that's not always convenient and I don't want to encourage the behavior!

I have a 15 month old and a 10 month old....I totally understand the day you're having. When they're like that, it's survival by any means necessary. Are they teething by any chance? That's been our issue here. Maybe a growth spurt and they're extra tired and need an extra nap? If all else fails, bribe them with food. And sometimes, out of sheer desperation, I'll call it a movie day, bring out the green furry blanket and well all just cuddle and watch a favourite video for a while.

Chin up....tomorrow will be better :)

I have a new 12 month old baby transitioning into care right now and he's a nonstop screamer and he's setting off my 20 month old girl who can't stand loud noises. So I'm getting it in stereo and they both want my full attention.

So you are not alone! GymMom it's time for a glass of wine, your house or mine?

PATIENCE! only thing sometimes. :) I see it's a new day, how did it go? Is today better? Lots of visits to the crib take place, if there is TOO much crying....more for me! and to send the message of "not okay!" :)

Thanks everyone! It helps to know I'm not alone! :) today is better but I only have 1 baby and the 2 year old. We'll be going outside for a long walk in the beautiful sunshine right after snack! Then lunch and naptime! Yes, it's going to be a much better day! Thanks again, ladies!

hello,
I agree with the above comments in that patience is a must and that if you can find out from the parents any changes happening at home or if they are going through some physical discomforts. All the best and ensure to have "ME" time.
