Hi everyone
Just wondering what activities and crafts everyone is doing for Mother's Day.
I am not sure. I have thought of making flowers out of muffin liners and putting a pic of the child in the centre of each 'flower' but I am also tempted to get clay flower pots for the kids to paint. I am just not sure if my 2 year olds will be ready to do the flower pots and not break them.

Anyways...I was going to do a whole week of stuff next week but I wanted to see what everyone else was doing :D

Still undecided here too. Mine just are not into crafts so anything will be way too much me done. Last year we did some baking including some decorated cookies and sent them home. This was partly because of not getting to decorate egg shaped cookies at easter because of too much illness going around didn't do activities that spread any more germs than we had to.

I might steal the idea that DD did for me last year in daycare. Its paper glued to magnet that says "I (heart) Mom" and in the middle of the heart is a picture of DD. There are some colored/scribbled marks on it too to add her touch even though she was just over a year. I loved it and still have it on my fridge.

I would check out Kaboose.com for ideas they always have great thoughts, for valentines day we made lip balm and had a great time

We're doing handprints in plaster of paris with dates and names. SO mama can always remember how tiny her baby's hands were on mothers day.

I will buy flower pots from the dollar store and have the kids decorate them with paint. Younger kids will just make a handprint mothers day card.

we finished 90% of the craft already. I decided to do a card.
On the front we made a 3D flower using the muffin liners for the flower part...http://www.dltk-holidays.com/spring/mmuffin.html and inside the card I put the handprint of each child and put a stem and leaves under it. I then wrote that everyday my love for you grows and grows and signed it from their child.

I do still love the idea of painting a clay flower pot but I was thinking that by the time I buy a nice plant to go in 4 flower pots I would be spending a lot of $$$

There is a fingerprint poem for our Mom. once I found it internet; so now I even do not know who is author.

Fingerprint Poem

My dirty little fingerprints
I’ve left on every wall
And on the drawers and tabletops,
I’ve really marked them all
But here are some that won’t rub off,
I’m giving them to you
Because I’m thankful to have
A MOM that’s just like you!http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2s9VpgLGlMo/Tch-_efOL8I/AAAAAAAAADE/jvMz5o2vWnQ/s1600/moms+gift.jpg:)

we colored coffee filters with food coloring and helped children to make flowers.
