Me!!!!! I joined ww online 3 weeks ago! I love it! 15lbs so far....gone forever! This is my first serious attempt at weight loss. I've never been skinny but used to be really active. Since I had my first child 2 1/2 years ago I've been a total sloth! Baby number 2 is 8months so decided it was time to get it together!!

I think it will work better for you this way...as a lifestyle change instead of a quick fix for a trip etc.!

I am on my own weight loss plan :) I haven't joined any program. I know exactly what my problem is...portions too big, too much bread, too much peanut butter, and not enough exercise. So, I have cut out the bread and peanut butter and cut down my portions. What I am finding is working is that I eat like a toddler...with the toddlers ;) So I try to make my portions similar to their portions (well some toddlers eat more and some less) and I eat every time they do, so 5 times a day so I don't get hungry. I also eat the same thing they are eating, as I always prepare healthy food for them...lots of fruits and veggies and proteins. So far I have lost 7 pounds...it's been about 2 weeks. Next I plan to start exercising more!

I typed some big long comment and it disappeared lol. Long story short. I joined a gym 10 months ago and have lost 75 pounds! I have a personal trainer that I see every 3 weeks or so (first 8 sessions are free at my gym). If you like to dance try zumba...amazing workout and so much fun. I began trying to lose weight by using the biggest loser wii game lol. Got me started and ready to join the gym. I now go to step classes, aqua fit sometimes, kick boxing, zumba and recently started bars and plates (weight lifting class). Good luck on your weight loss adventure. :)

congratulations to all of you on your losses so far. today is day 1 for me so hopefully i will have a good week. a gym isnt really an option for me, i know i wont go. at this point i dont have the energy. maybe once some weight comes off i rethink but in the meantime i have a treadmill and will use that. so far i love ww online although i havent checked everything out. hopefully we can be a great support for each other.

Congratulations for all those trying ~ we are joining the gym February 1st and I am looking forward to getting some more consistent exercise with the aim for feeling better and keeping my glucose levels optimal .... loosing weight for me is very challenging with diet alone ... tried 4 months of an 800 calorie diet from the Dr combined with 30 minutes three times a week of cardio and lost like 4 pounds so 'dieting' for me is not something I am prepared to continue to do with results like that

I am jealous of you all! Congratulations and keep working on it. I really enjoy eating so it's hard for me, but I did do WW online a while ago and loved it! I found it super easy and it really made me focus on what was going into my body. It's all about choices.

I did a complete life style change the end of April last year. I joined Myfitnesspal.com and haven't looked back. I've lost 42 pounds, toned my body and gained muscle. I've lost over 20" off of my body. I have about 15 more pounds to go before I reach my goal and then I'll reassess from there if I want to loose another 10 or so. I eat the right portion sizes now, the right amount of calories, drink a lot of water and exercise 3 - 5 days/week. I'm feeling tons better and love that I have to go clothes shopping because all my clothes are to big for me now.

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss successes and, for that matter, their efforts! Fruitloop...holy cow! I'm well impressed! It sounds like you found something that works really well for you.

I've recently gone vegetarian...mostly. It's more for health reasons and also because I purchase meat from 'ethical' sources, which is freakin' expensive :) At any rate, I feel fantastic! It seems to help with weight loss as well. One thing I did for many years, till I moved, was to walk with my neighbour. We went for 1 hour every night from Sun-Thurs and that did both of us a world of good. If you walk really fast (I mean fast!) you can clear about 6km, which is really good! We'd add in weights and increase them as we needed to, which did a lot to tone us up. What I loved about it was that it was social. Most will say that it's too hard to find an hour to commit to that, and that can be a challenge. We did it for the first 8 yrs at 9pm due to the ages of our kids, homework, etc. It just became part of our routine and we both looked forward to it. We still go on Tuesday nights when I'm in the neighbourhood....hav e been at it for 13 years. It helps to have another person who's expecting you and pressuring you to go. Kinda makes you stick with it, you know?

Soooo, for those of us who can't stand going to a gym, this is a good option. I tried the gym and got very tired of it very quickly. Sure wish I enjoyed it!

I haven't set one foot in a gym. Everything I've done has been at home. I bought a treadmill because I don't/didn't feel comfortable running outside. I bought a used (and old) weight resistance machine to work out on, some 3lb and 5lb hand weights and I do a workout video that is circuit training. You don't need a gym membership to get in shape, you can use your own body weight, walk, run, do whatever. :)
