I decided it was time to give notice to my early morning family. I also decided that based on the relationship that mom has built with me which is email and text only I decided to send it by email. I will deal with her reaction after she has had time to digest it. I was short and to the point and said that I could no longer provide care for the hours that they needed and that it was affecting my family.
Hopefully mom doesnt get too snarky with me... I'll let you know how it goes.

Good for you gramma!
Expect dcm to get snarky and not be happy about it. Did you give them 2 weeks notice?
Just think of all the extra things you can do in the mornings now...like sleep in!! Bliss.

I gave them a few days less than 3 weeks notice but i did offer to do extra in march after my vacation if they were stuck, but not at the current hours. The only reason i did this is because mom is having surgery and will be out of commission for a bit so i'm trying to help. my new one starts april 1.

Good for you! I would still type a letter and put it in their bag at pickup time so they have it in writing and keep a copy for yourself.

So mom is trying to rip me off for one weeks pay. she only want to keep dcg here for 2 weeks instead of the 3 weeks that I gave which is in our contract. I told her that according to our contract she has to pay for the 3 weeks regardless of attendance. Just waiting to hear back. No cheque on MOnday, no care.

Do you have a deposit to be applied to one of these last weeks of care? I hope so.
