Started a new dcg today. I cannot believe how easy her transition was:woot:
Grandma watched her (she lives with grandma and parents). But now grandma is getting tired having to entertain a 21 month old little girl! Never been in a daycare setting. No routine at home.

At our interview dcg was completely at ease. Talked with me (she's 21 months but very mature and verbal), wanted to play. I knew she would do well with our crew, but WOW...she just fit right in. It was like she was always here. The rest of the crew all took to her right away. My eldest daughter (4yrs) took it upon herself to be her ambassador! Showing her around, sticking to her like glue for her first day. Very cute :)

She ate all her snack and lunch, even though others turned their noses up at it (Chicken Parmesan with Mozzarella and Penne Pasta) She gobbled it up!

Naptime, she layed her head down and cried for 30 sec. and then went to sleep.

I have to pinch myself. I hope the parents are normal. So far they seem normal  but I'm waiting for my bubble to burst...she seems to perfect LOL!

Congratulations - every caregiver deserves at least one child like this in their lifetime.

knock on wood and hold onto your good luck charms  Don't tempt fate by relaxing too much with this little one 'cause we know they can turn on a dime. Seriously though, congrats and I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful d/c relationship.

Congratulations OtherMummy! I think the DCGods smiled on me too because my new baby girl who started last week is a dream too. Her big brother was with me for 3 1/2 years and she's been coming to visit us on his JK PD days with her brother and Mom so we are familiar to her and she is comfortable and happy. She has two weeks to become completely established then I have a baby boy starting who I have a feeling will be another screamer because he's attached and hasn't been away from his Mommy. Yikes! Oh well, treasure the good transition because they are few and far between.
