My daughter threw up on my bedroom carpet 2 nights ago. I cleaned and cleaned it, and I can still smell it.
Any tips for getting vommit smell out of your carpet?
Thanks.

Those sprays with natural enzymes in them are the best I've found. Nature's Miracle is one. My favourite was one called Out!......it was scented and seemed to work the best of all the others I tried. Not sure if it's still out there, but worth asking at Pet Value, Petsmart or other pet stores.

Nature's Miracle gets my vote too. Basically go to the pet store and ask them to show you the selection they have for dealing with doggie mishaps which if it cures those smells which tend to be stronger than people ones it should help. The great thing about these is that you can use them on any fabric surface and they are safe for use around pets and kids. They will take the stains out as well as the smell.

Fantastic! Thank you.
vinegar works well, too. Do you have a carpet cleaner? If so, pour lots on and suck it up with the carpet cleaner.

Once you saturate the area with the stuff mentioned above clean it as the directions say then sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the damp area. Let the soda absorb all the moisture let it sit for 24hours then vacuum up. The soda will also absorb any unsightly orders left behind.

I've read that a mixture of borax and baking soda helps get smells out of carpet. Mix half a cup of each, sprinkle on the carpet area you want to freshen up, and let sit for 15 minutes. Then vacuum thoroughly (you don't want little ones inhaling borax). Disclaimer: I haven't tried this myself yet, but I plan to.

i used to use oxyclean on my carpets if my dog had accidents when he got old. you mix the powder with hot water. could never smell anything afterwards and there is not many things that smell worse than dog poop

I use Norwex stain buster (I'm a consultant for Norwex) and it works great as well.
