I always look forward to Mondays- I only have my own kids and my 2 really easy going dck so it is always a nice day and I get a lot done- not today! both my kids were up last night and have been grouchy all morning...one dcg came in with an awful cough and bad attitude and the other dcg came in and mom said "good luck! I spent hours trying to get her to nap this weekend!" ugh
cant wait for tomorrow lol

All of my dckids have runny noses right now, ack! But they have been sleeping extra long because of their colds every afternoon so that's a bit of a bonus, poor little monkeys. It gives me a few hours a day to have a break from wiping those noses. We need gasmasks!

A new round of colds starting here too. Actually had two away on Friday with one being diagnosed with pnemonia and now on medicine and an inhaler and the other child ended up at the hospital diagnosed with bronchiolitis and is on oxygen and suctioning every two hours and as of yesterday was getting better but still in hospital. This poor little guy has only been in care for a week. Even in the midst of all that got an email from the family that the dad would come over to bring me my pay for the week - ie pay is due on Monday. To which of course I said no we will deal with that later when he comes back. Haven't decided if I am even going to charge them for the week. I know it is in my rights to do it but there is something about the fact they offered to come and pay that earns them the privilege of maybe a partial fee considering why child wasn't here.
The scariest is that on Thursday other than a bit of a cough and whiney there were no other symptoms of fever or anything but by Friday the 17 month old didn't have the strength to walk across the room she was having so much trouble breathing. The baby I did mention to the mom that when you held him and listened to his breathing that it sounded a bit raspy so I knew she was going to take him to the doctor on Friday but never expected he would land in the hospital for several days. Needless to say another low key not do too much week for me.
