End of year receipts for families with siblings?

When I issue receipts to a family with siblings, do I give them 2 receipts with the amount they paid for each child or can I do one receipt with the total paid?

One receipt could definitely benefit families if they spent more on one child as their accountant would just divide this in half and apply it to each. Plus easier for me as I just have to track payment from the family not how much for each child.

I just do the total. I make out the receipt to both parents if living together and stipulate that it is for both children. I leave it up to them how they divided it up.

Yeah, I do one reciept too. It is the amount paid that matters, not how much per child.
