I have a child this is so quiet on time outs that I have left them in the stool before for like 10 minutes! LoL. I figure it really gives them time to reflect!

Unfortunately the only 2 dckids that I ever have to put in time out are so freaking loud in there that its impossible for me to forget about them.....quiet time outs just don't happen here.

LOL......I haven't done it yet but I am sure it is inevitable in the future.......no one is perfect right?:p

No...but only because I set a timer and put it on the shelf above them! When it goes off, we both know it is time to talk! I tell the child I am not talking to them until it "beeps" as I have one that will sit there and call my name over and over and over!!

Good thing kids can't tell time ;) I don't use time-outs often, but a timer sounds like a good idea.

Lol, that's funny in an evil way, oops! :o I don't have to use timeouts with my current group but I've had children in the past who went through phases where they were in that timeout chair a lot. But my system is to sit them right there watching the others play so it tortures them by being excluded from the fun. And I only have them sit there for a minute while we talk about what happened. Your timeout chair must be a little set aside from the main play area.
