So I thought yesterday was draining, being sick and having my 3.5 yo dcg being difficult again. Today is much worse.

My mother-in-law has been in the hospital for a few weeks now because of ongoing health issues. After everyone had been dropped off today, dh gets a call from the hospital notifying him that she's been moved to icu and is now on assisted breathing. They say she is in a semi coma, and they have no idea why.

The dcg who was testing my patience yesterday is so much worse today. She has been taking toys from the other kids non stop, and this morning during free play, she took a toy from another child and when that child protested and tried to retrieve the toy she pushed the other child hard enough to knock her over. She broke a toy this morning as well, and even though I was standing right next to her when it happened, she lied to me about it.

I know my tolerance is probably a little low because of my MIL being in poor condition, and also because I don't feel well, but I have no tolerance for hands on and breaking things.

I hope you MIL recovers from her health issues. I would have dcg sit on the couch for a long while with you and let her watch the kids play. If you need to go from the room take her with you. She is being a brat and needs strict boundries. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear you're having a bad week! And I am so sorry to hear about your MIL...I hope you gets better soon! I am having a crummy day today too and I think it is mainly because I didn't sleep well so I have very low tolerance...and the kids can feel it, so they are acting out more :( Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your MIL and hope she gets better soon. Sounds like your dc girl is having some issues of her own potentially at home. She for sure needs some time away from playing to just do nothing.

Oh JennJubie, I hope your MIL recovers quickly, big hugs. If you're going to keep the daycare open during this rough time, then for heaven sake take it slow and easy and cancel anything that is too stressful for you so you can take care of yourself.
