I think you ladies will appreciate this. It sure spiced up my very ordinary day

So here in Southern Ontario we are experiencing a heat wave. My neighbour right next door to us is getting his roof repaired. On the hottest day of the year. The children and I were outside getting wet from 10:00-10:30. Up on the roof were 4 of them ripping off shingles. Shirtless.

So right after snack I pull back the curtains to let the light in (I keep them closed to keep heat out). There on the back of his pick up is one of the roofers undressing. Right out there on the street. In front of my house. Did I mention he looked like a buff Ryan Gosling:woot: He gets right down to his skivvies. And of course all my daycare kids have their noses pressed up the glass. He then takes his water bottle and in true fantasy pours the water over his head and down his chest.

My mouth must have dropped to my ankles. Then he turns around and waves at us. OMG...I quickly hustled the kids away after a few of them got a few waves back in. Oh well. Damn. cannot wait for my hubby to ask me how my day was

omg, that is so funny. Pretty good description too. Can you imagine what your little people will tell their parents, that some man was in his underware pouring water on himself.

A good reason for not sending home daily journals - imagine writing that five times in the what we did at daycare today box.

Reminds me of the time my former neighbor told me that she had to call the fire dept twice in the middle of the night because her co2 detector kept going off. I responded with a shocked OMG which she replied that no worries everything was alright. I corrected her and told her my reaction was not to her co2 problem, it was the fact that she had the firemen over twice and she didn't call me to come over(I was single then).
