I currently run a home daycare for teachers children (1-4years) in Oakville. My husband and I are considering a move to SW Barrie (possibly Ardagh Bluffs) area. What is the demand like for home daycare there? Specifically, home daycare for teachers children? Also, what tends to be the going rate for full time care?
Any feedback would be appreciated! :)
Thanks!

Michelle, I'm copying and pasting your post and emailing a really good friend of mine who is a HDCP in my city, but her parents and other family are all in Barrie. I'll get back to you soon. She will probably have an answer for you. Her siblings have children in Barrie and she has a lot of friends there.

What about entering a Barrie postal code on this site and seeing the daycare advertisements. It might give you some idea what's in that area.

Check out this website. I have talked to Donna many years ago. Not sure how accurate the site is but worth checking out. Also the Barrie group used to offer the Family Home Childcare Module by correspondence too.

My friend got back to me and said that the areas you mentioned are newer parts of the city so they should be in demand because that's where the younger families buy homes and the other ladies already gave you good advice about ways to check out rates.
