Has anyone experienced an infant/toddler with a heart murmur? I have a family who want to sign up with me and their son has one. He will be 12mths in February. He has seen specialists and two weeks ago was given the all clear in his tests and apparently it is nothing to worry about. I would for sure request from the parents copies of all testing in case of an emergency to hand to the paramedics and also would want an in depth briefing from them prior to him coming here, but I wondered what people's experiences have been either in a childcare setting or with their own child, thanks.

My daughter had a heart murmur detected at birth and she received the all clear a couple of months afterwards by a pediatric cardiologist. She is a healthy active 18 yr old now. So no, I haven't had a dck with a heart murmur, but if the childhas had the all clear from a specialist, then I wouldn't worry about it. Of course though, sit down and talk to the parents about this former murmur and if necessary perhaps they can give you a copy of the physicians report for a medic should the need arise.

My son had a murmur at birth....all clear and no issues.

My ex husband also had a murmur. He's still kicking too....will outlive me out of spite I reckon.
