Hi, My name is Krista. I have been running a dayhome for 2 years, have my B.Ed but am happier being home with a small group than in the classroom. I am a mom of 3 boys: gr. 4/1/prek and i have 3 girls in my dayhome. It is so nice to find a place where i can relate to others, vent, find advice, learn and gain new ideas. If anyone is located in edmonton please drop me a line!

Welcome! I love this site and just recently joined this year. Such a great place to vent to people who totally understand and to get advice when you aren't sure what to do.

I agree !!! So nice not to have to explain why 15 minutes late for pick up is frustrating lol !!!!
Welcome !!!!!!
Hello klab and welcome. I was born in Edmonton and being exposed to the winters there after having moved away many many years ago, I still think 0 Celsius is balmy. LOL This is an excellent forum and looking forward to your wise advice/opinions.

Hello, I am also new but have been reading these forums for ages! I've been in Canada for almost three years and have had two beautiful children since. My youngest is almost 6 months old and now I feel ready to take the plunge and open my home daycare. Things are rather different here to the UK and it's rather a change of career (I worked in investments). However I have plenty of childcare experience with a very large family back home and 10 years experience as a Girl Guide leader. Please forgive me if in future I ask seemingly stupid and obvious questions; with so many differences there is lots to learn!
