Hi all,
I run a Small Multi-age group daycare ( max. Capacity of 8 children).
I just had a baby and my close friend is currently covering for me while I am on leave. I already have 3 under 3's plus 1 over 3, each day of the week.
I need to return to work and wish to bring my child with me. I intend to only have a maximum of 6 children on anyone day.
I have applied for special exemption from licensing and they want me to write a statement on how this arrangement is in the best interests of my child.
I know that attachment and the special bond between mother and child are the key point, but just need help with how to word it please.

Is there really no-one out there who has had a similar situation?

I think the majority of us are in Ontario and have home daycares (I am not sure if yours is a daycare centre outside the home?). In Ontario, as of now anyway, our own kids don't count in our numbers in private home daycares, so that is why many of us would not have any insight into your situation. I wish you luck with your situation though as I think it's definitely important for your baby to stay with you as long as possible :)
