My happy news of the day :)

At the end of Jan, I had a family come through and wished to sign on for June. My up to date criminal background check was still in processing but once it was processed they wished to come in and sign the contract and pay the deposit. Well, it was processed last week and I emailed them to let them know. Today, they responded that while they had loved my childcare, they had found one much closer to home and decided to send their child there.
I felt rotten for about 1 hr only, because I emailed the first Mom on my wait list who responded with a flattering "YES PLEASE!" and e-transfered the deposit over right away. So, I had lost a future client and replaced it in one morning so I'm back on track and feeling good :) Yay me! lol

In light of the other thread let's all discuss our happy news of the day?!?!

Mine would be.......it is finally warm enough to go outside and the kids and I enjoyed a good 45 minutes outdoors today! They had a blast which then in turn helped nap....they were all napping within 5 mins :)

Mine is we just came back from a sunny, fairly warm, everything melting and slushy walk and we loved it! So nice to be absorbing the vitamin D outside rather than through a window!!!!

Oh and kudos for you for turning sad into happy with your new client:thumbsup:

That is very empowering..and one family's loss another's gain! Great News!

Mine would also be spending part of the morning and part of the afternoon outdoors! The children loved it. And it was mild, slushy but sunny.
