This is my last step before we all make the decision whether or not this is a good match. I'm excited . . . and nervous. I hate people watching me . . LOL
Wish me luck!!!!

Good luck. I know the feeling of being watched LOL! How old is little one. Usually I only do transition days with a parent if the child is under 18 months. Otherwise we jump right into my program.

She just turned one. this isnt a transition day. just a day for me and mom to get to know each other better and for mom and baby to meet the other kids. I always do the first interview after hours.
Transitions really depend on the kid and what is going on with the parents. sometimes there is time but i find sometimes parents need care ASAP as they accepted a job before finding care. I like them though (regardless of age) everyone can ease in and the program isnt torn apart for a couple weeks

All my kids just jump right in. I meet families after hours and then the kids start without a day with mom here. I would hate having someone watching me so I just refuse to do it. I don't want to give the kids the mixed signal that sometimes mom stays.
Good for you for doing it this way but I would never. I have had parents ask and I always say no.

Good luck!! I have done this with multiple families and it always goes really well :)
I almost always interview during the day so that I can see the way the kids interact with each other but on Friday I met with a mom after hours and one of her questions was if she could bring her daughter to see the kids before starting (if she gets the spot) and I said yes. I limit it to an hour though so it doesn't disrupt our day too much and I give a few options of times for when it is best for me. I am very used to people watching me work though so it doesn't bother me. (not that I want to do it every day though haha)
