At 4 years in in my Home Daycare business, my first crop of students went off to school this year. Just received the most beautiful note from a Mom whose child's teachers praised the child who must have had a fantastic daycare provider who established such a wonderful routine and learning base....there was more, but after 2 weeks from heck transitioning new little ones this made me cry:)

Isn't that the best and it couldn't have come at a better time!! Hopefully next week is better for you with the transitioning!

I once had two children go off to the same p/s and their new teacher told the mom's that the dcp who had them previously did a great job as they transitioned so well throughout the day. It definitely feels good when the "professionals" give you compliments!

And a good story to share when it comes to questions from government about the "quality" of private unlicensed providers too. We do make a big difference. For sure a note to be cherished.

Yes, I think we definitely are!! The reason I put professional in quotation marks is because I have found some parents think higher of teachers and such.
