There's all sorts on-line. I tend to look at nap time and bookmark anything suitable in directories based on the holiday. That way, I have them year-to-year and have some trusty go-to's but also new ones too.

In the past I've just had colouring pages for them to do. I think this year we will do a wreath

I love the field of poppies as well, although, I am going to have them paint them with a sponge then let dry and add the black spot. Will also do a coloring page and we are making the Poppy with a paper plate.

With really little ones it is ok to focus on things like the Canada Flag and talk about how special our country is and that soldiers fought hard to make sure we would have a country that sort of thing.

For a poppy remember it can be made using 4 hearts so maybe write something on each one like Remember to be kind, etc ie attributes that lead to world peace. Then let them paint the black centre circle and glue in the middle.

I focus on the keeping the peace rather than the remembering war with the under age 3 kids. My hubby is military and so is one of my daycare families so seeing soldiers is a normal thing for the gang. They know they work to keep the world safe.

Last year I hadn't opened yet, but with my 4 yo son, I drew a poppy on a piece of paper, and he filled it in with a red bingo dobber, and I drew another poppy and he glued red pieces of tissue paper on it.
I have 3 toddlers this year, so I'll be trying some of these ideas too!
