Hi Ladies.

Tomorrow is supposed to be quite warm. I am hoping to do a toy/bike/car wash with the kids. We'll do it on the driveway with the wash water rolling down the street (and eventually into the sewers). It likely won't come in contact with the grass or gardens of anything.

Any suggestions as to what kinda of soap to use (if any). Something that is gentle enough for the kids skin and won't be incredibly harmful to grass/plants/environment?

Just eco friendly (ish) dish soap?

thanks!

We do this at least 1-2x a year and it's easily one of their favourite activities!! We do it in the summer though as I put them in their bathing suits.

I have to admit I've never thought about what kind of soap to use. I just use whatever dish soap I've got on hand. I've sometimes just used bubble bath if I've had it on hand as well.

Maybe I am over thinking things lol. I couldn't remember what soaps are known to kill grass. I'll just use our dish soap which should be safe enough.

I know it's early in the year but the toys could use a wash and it's warm and I am excited about the warm weather! I plan to put them in rainsuits so they can get as wet as they want.

Oh, and I got the idea from here when some of you mentioned it last summer...my group was way to young then to pull it off (5 under 18months) but we are ready now!!!!

This is great idea. I never though of this before. We have lot snow on ground still but I think we might give some toys good clean on deck.

The activity was a hit and kept three barely 2yr olds busy for about 30minutes. I wouldnt call the toys clean by any means though!! The kids were quite wet so the rainsuits worked wonders.

Yay, glad the kids had fun!! Mine love it and like you, the toys aren't scrubbed clean but they do look nice and shiny for an hour or so haha.
