I'm hoping someone can clarify a few things.

I am aware of the new bill coming in January. I just came across something that stated that after Dec 5, 2014 all new daycare clients need to follow the new guidelines. Is this correct?

I have a 10 month old daughter. I know she is included in my total number of 5 and also the age ratios. But I'm very confused about the age ratios. I believe it is 2 under 2 and 3 under 3. Is this correct?

If #2 is correct, there is two ways I can read it
A) 10 month daughter, 23 month & younger DCK, 35 month & younger DCK,
2x36 months and older DCK
B) 10 month daughter, 23 month & younger DCK, 3x24-35 month DCK

Does that make sense? Can anyone explain it better?

Yes any new kids after dec 4, 2014 follow new rules. For ages it is ONLY 2 under 2. So your 10 mth old and then another baby can be anywhere from newborn to 23mths. Then the other three can be 24mths and up. So u can have three 2yr olds.

A) is the correct way to interpret this...it is how the licenced daycares currently function in regards to ratios. You can have 2 under 2 and 3 under 3 meaning you can have 3 kids all be between 24 and 36months if you do not have any children under 24months of age, but if you have one or two children be under 24months at any given time then you can only have a total of 3 children that are 35months or younger (with up to 2 of them being under 24months).

BUT the new regulations will just put the age limit of 2 children under age 2 at any time (under 24months). The other children can all be 25months or up.
