Pregnancy and cortisone shots...

For the past 2-3 years I have been getting 1-3 cortisone shots a year for my lower back pain due to arthritis. I am now pregnant and off my daily pain meds and in extreme pain. I spoke to my family dr today and she said she thinks they (shots) are safe, I have to call my pain specialist clinic tomorrow to make an appt to discuss my options.

My question is, has anyone received injections during pregnancy? Any feedback is appreciated!! From what I'm reading online, it seems like many do.
