I understand that a lot of people are trying to find out where they stand with new law. I am also one of them.

I have 3 kids of my own... 4(JK), 5(SK) and 1yr.
my daycare kids right now are... 1yr,1yr,2,and 2.5yr.

My question is where do I stand and how many do I need to let go?

Thank you for the help in fully understanding.

You have two options:

No more then 5 kids under the age of 13 yrs, with no more then 2 kids under 2 years old. Your own kids 6yrs and older don't count. Your kids 4 & 5 yrs old count, but if they are enrolled in a government funded full day school program they don't count during the school months, but do count during the summer. but there is a catch, in order for your 4 & 5 not to count during school months you can only have one child under 2 yrs in care.

A) take on 2 daycare kids with only one under the age of 2 yrs. until your youngest turns 2 then you can have 2 daycare kids under two.

B) during the school months take on 4 daycare kids. but non under 2 (until yours turns 2), but you will have to let two of them go the day after school end until school starts back up in September.
