For those who operate ONLY during th school year and closed all school breaks (withoutpay); do you charge a little more than the other daycares around you or price yourself the same? Ex: most have now begin to increase to $40 (from $35). Do you charge you Teachers say $2-5$ more than the average to compensate for the closures... just curious.

Locally, those who follow the school calender charge the same as those who don't. Expenses are the same, and since it's for their own family benefit to have summer off and that's how they choose to run, there's no premium rate. Those who need year round income, stay open year round.

In my area, Halton Ontario, alot of providers do charge more to compensate for the lost income, and they often close earlier too (ie. 730-430)

If I do this next year, I'm planning on raising my fee by $3
