Good morning everyone :)
I received this email yesterday. Something tells me not to trust it, what do you think ?
.Good day HHD Daycare,
I have a Son who is 17 months now and am highly interested in enrolling him in your daycare on a part time basis.
Do you have this in your options as my wife works close by and plan to advance him to full time when funds permits us to. Please provide me with info on a 2-3 day pricing per week. Waiting list, feedback and any additional relative information.
As well as a time we may come in to tour the facility etc. I have heard great things from the daycare thank you.

Scam. Too generic. If you reply, expect follow up with lot of detail, maybe family photo, all sort of information most parent not normally share without checking you out.
Next step will be they send money, before even meet you, to secure place. The amount be too much and then they pressure you refund overpayment because of some crisis. The aim is you refund out of pocket before their fake money transfer/cheque rejected by bank so they end up with your money and you end up out pocket.

I always get suspicious when someone asks me to "send them info". If you have found my business, than you have obviously seen my website and should have most of the general info you need before you contact me.

I would try and set up a time to meet. If they are legit then they will meet you. I never secure spot without meeting first so if scam then they won't be able to meet

Did it list your daycare name in the email? Did it show your email address in the To: line?
This one seems a lot more 'real' to me than the usual. They don't usually have it being a young child (like they know that we need 3yr old) they usually emphasize that the child is toilet trained and no allergies and that they want shorter than usual hours and that they are super flexible about days and hours.
This seems like it could be legit.
I would offer to set up an appointment. From there you should quickly know if it is a scam as they won't come!

I have gotten emails like this. They were real. Some people just write this way. scams usually state they are out of the country. I would reply, could end up being a great client.

there's a way you can always check is an email is legit. Look at the FROM and the TO lines. What addresses are there? If it's real the from will be their address and the to will be your email address. But if it's a scam. The from will be their email address AND the to will also be THEIR address. If it's not address to u then it's scam. U can either way set up a meet and see if they come. NEVER accept money to secure a spot without meeting them first!!!

I sent him an email just stating that I have a part time spot available and if there was a number I could reach him at to discuss it further.
I will let you know the outcome.
