Hi everyone,

I have some older kids do not sleep during nap time, I wonder what do activities or how to keep them calm during quiet time? I am thinking of letting them to watch animal videos for 20 mins once a week. is it a bad idea?

What is your suggestion and good ideas?

Colouring, puzzles, worksheets to practice their letters. cutting out activities to increase practice with scissors, - We mainly do our preschool work during the baby nap time.

Wow! Suzie_Homemaker I do all same. I have created an "atelier" section so, all activities are hands on. There is too many things to do and to mention but mostly hand eye coordination activities, ocupational therapy activities and different art activities, and preschool stuff. My program is very well known for being "screen free" homedaycare. There are thousands of activities to do quietly I think I have at least a hundred to keep those little heads busy every day. Search on pinterest, Google and also the library has a lot resources. It is hard at first but once you have your own stash then becomes very easy, to keep adding to it.

I am also screen free. I don't have a screen in the rooms used for day care.
