I'm just volunteering with SJA right now, but I am setting up a website and business (I will be charging for private installation and education sessions as well as offering free checks 1 Saturday/month!) I'm also speaking at my local LLL's Enrichment Meeting. I am going to address winter clothing, harness tightness, chest clip placement and extended rear facing.... the usual! I'm pretty sure we actually call it CRST (Child Restraint Systems Technician) here in Ontario but I've spent too much time on car-seat.org and accidentally used the American version hehehe.
Oh right on! I just did my cps course out in bc, we call it child passenger safety educator here. Are you doing anything with your training? I'm just starting to hold private seat checks at no charge to people I meet that are interested. I'd really like to hold workshops for child caregivers however.
Hi Manda, does CPST stand for child passenger safety tech? Just curious! Where you from?
